Yon is the best seamstress I’ve ever worked with. I was so pleased with the results of my dress. She paid close attention to detail and was so patient with me. I’m a huge perfectionist, so I was so happy to find someone who implicated perfection as well! Everything was altered delicately and beautifully. She is truly artist of her craft. She is also so sweet and friendly! I will definitely be returning for future dresses I need altered. She is the best dress seamstress in Great Neck by a long shot. Everyone should go to her!

I live in Manhattan and was getting married in Long Island and did a detailed desk top search and then did a tailor "tour" trying on my dress for various tailors. MDW III was the most professional, they seemed to be experts, and they knew the time, care and detail that goes into a wedding dress. Lastly, they are around the corner from the Great Neck Train station and have amenable hours, so I was able to easily hop on the LIRR train after work on weekdays for fittings.

My dress turned out to be far more complicated that anyone originally thought. I bought the dress off the rack and it fit fairly well. I needed a hem, the removal of a tiny stain, and perhaps a little bit of body work. Over the course of the tailoring process I lost about 10-15lbs and Yon managed this process seamlessly. She went above and beyond what I could have ever asked for, sewing in cups in the bodice and an additional support structure within the waist area of the dress. The dress also had a flowy layered structure, and Yon was able to match that look instead of doing the hem to maintain the look and feel of the dress. My dress (see photos) looked amazing and fit perfectly.

Most importantly, they really care about their work and the dress fitting perfectly. This was comforting and I trusted them completely. Jessica and Yon also provided moral support throughout the tailoring and over the time we became friends.

Yon is an amazing seamstress who is reasonably priced and is a clothing savior. I’m a plus sized bride and I knew I would need complex alterations on my bridal gown. Since yon has helped me with other alterations, I knew she would do a great job with my bridal gown. Yon did an amazing job with my gown and I’m so incredibly happy. This is the BEST place to get anything altered. I went to Yon to get a dress fixed that didn’t fit me AT ALL it was wayyyyy to small and I needed it fixed for a Sweet 16 because I was in the court. I had only given her 2-3 weeks to fix the dress because the dress was delivered very late. She completely fixed the dress to make it fit me like it was brand new. She is the most talented seamstress I know and you won’t regret going to her!

This is a wonderful shop to bring your wedding dress for alteration, they specialize in wedding dress and formal dress alterations. I needed my wedding dress altered in 2 weeks and they were able to accommodate me so I was very grateful. You go in for multiple fittings so they can do your shoulders and top part first then they move onto the bottom for length and whatever else. The owner who altered my dress was so meticulous and you can tell she takes pride in her job. Just remember that this isnt a mom and pop dry cleaner/alteration business so it wont be cheap. But that's the price you pay for going to a professional. For me it was worth every dollar, because I had a peace of mind knowing that my dress would fit me perfect at the end. In the future, if I need formal dresses altered I would definately take it to this shop. Its appointment only so dont forget to call if you need to go in for consultation!

This past Saturday I celebrated my wedding. I bought my dress last year at Macy’s and intended to get it altered there because I assumed that it what most people did. My best friend told me I MUST go to Yan as she has had dresses altered from her before. I decided to take my chances and my god did I make the right decision! Not only do I now call Yan the “dress surgeon” but she completely transformed my already beautiful dress into the most amazing item I have ever worn. She took her time every single dress fitting making me feel comfortable and guiding me throughout the entire process. I even decided 2 weeks before the wedding to add sleeves onto the dress and Yan did a flawless job! I have never felt so beautiful then I did on my wedding night. I want to also mention how amazing Tiffany was! Tiffany was with Yan and I every single fitting and was absolutely amazing!!! This is the ONLY place you should be getting your dress altered. Thank you so much!!! ❤️

I went there looking for prom dresses, and even though that is not their specialty and the selection was on the small side, every dress was beautiful. In addition, the staff was extremely nice, which I have always found difficult to find. The only thing that prevented them from being five stars was that you have to order your dress because they don't have size options.

They have a good selection of wedding gowns and flower girls dresses, they are a bit expensive though, even when on sale.
They have a seamstress on site which is a big plus. An appointment here is always recommended if you want full attention when shopping.
